"We are at 15 - maybe 16, as your captain has been down with a bad knee for a few weeks.  I'm on the fence about playing. Benvenue is a brilliant old Ross course.  We have lots of room.  "

Hickory Points Race updated through April

We are resuming last years' season long hickory points race.  As a reminder, we will be awarding medals to the 3 players who accumulate the most points in our monthly outings - across our 3 age groups.  We have 3 groups:60 and under; 61 to 71; and +71 years of age.  Last year's winners were Lee Burton, Doug Gelbert, and Richard Payne.  Attendance and strong net play will determine who will win the 2019 medals.  The season long update is attached below, and will also be added to the Leaderboard…See More

Hello all and thank you for accepting me into this organization. I have just recently discovered and acquired some hickory golf clubs and have found a new spark for the game of golf with these. Looking for any information and direction as I am in the midst of putting together my first set. Any information and help would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to hopefully be involved in future events and getting to know some of you.

Equipment Help

Hello, I just joined the group last night and am looking forward to playing. I love the tradition and history of the game. Does anyone know of a good source of hickory clubs other than the bay? Swap meets etc.. possibly in NC?

Thanks

Evan Mickle

I am overwhelmed by the response to our tragic loss. The outpouring of wishes, food, labor, contributions, etc is beyond comprehension. Thank you all.

To lose a parent is to lose touch with…

Roaring Gap a Hit Again

Jay Harris once again hosted a wonderful Hickory event at Roaring Gap CC. The course is a treat to pay using hickories and the greens are terrific. Weather was perfect for the 24 players and this is something you should not miss next September. Thanks to Jay for all his efforts.
