The end of a playing career ?

Yes, this does not involve hickory golf.  It does involve one of the most influential players of today's game-- (Eldrick) Tiger Woods.     After struggling to make the cut at the PGA Championship at Southern Hills, his third round 79 was most telling as to his status of competition deterioration.  Whether ego or attempting to appear to still be a viable competitor, Mr. Woods did not request a 'Casey Martin' exemption to use a riding cart for this tournament.  Six weeks out from his appearance…See More

Cheraw State Park Recap, and Carolinas Hickory Open Reminder

We had a small turnout at Cheraw State Park - just over the state line in SC, and only about an hour from Pinehurst.  If you picked this golf course up and set it down in the Sandhills, you would be happy to pay over $100 for the pleasure.  This place is amazing.  And, at only $28 to play, is a real head scratcher.  Hard to figure how they can make a go of it at such a small price. This is 2 outings in a row, at hidden gems, so dirt cheap, it makes me wonder why I would pay vast sums of money to…See More

potentially getting out of Hickory golf

I am considering getting out of hickory golf due to other commitments. Rich Schmidt and many others have done a fantastic job of organizing and lining up golf tournaments for our group.

I have a tremendous selection of old and new left handed hickory clubs that I may soon be selling.

If you know of someone left handed that has an interest in left handed clubs please let me know.

Phone is 252-714-4090, email is bryant@kittrellandarmstrong.com.

i will probably keep…
