Mountain Golf - summary and recap of results

It was great to be in the mountains this past week as up to 20 hickory nuts convened on the Boone, Banner Elk, and Blowing Rock area to tee it up in the cooler air.Thursday's round at Boone GC was a complete washout as the heavens opened up on us on the first hole.  A few guys came a long way - and got no joy.  Many thanks and appreciation go out to first timer Alan Carli who drove up from Georgia to be with us;  Will Jacoby - from Kentucky, and Bryant Kittrell who had to cancel due to a family…See More

Broken shaft

Might have hit 20 balls (35 and 50 compression) with my mashie and the shaft is cracking. What do I do? Buy a new shaft from Louisville golf or rob peter to pay paul? I have another mashie by another club maker. I'd have to plug the pin hole and drill a new one if that is the case. Comments?...

Hello all and thank you for accepting me into this organization. I have just recently discovered and acquired some hickory golf clubs and have found a new spark for the game of golf with these. Looking for any information and direction as I am in the midst of putting together my first set. Any information and help would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to hopefully be involved in future events and getting to know some of you.

Equipment Help

Hello, I just joined the group last night and am looking forward to playing. I love the tradition and history of the game. Does anyone know of a good source of hickory clubs other than the bay? Swap meets etc.. possibly in NC?

Thanks

To lose a parent is to lose touch with…
