Carolina Trace Replay

Hello Everyone that played at Carolina Trace last friday.  Barry called to inform me that there was a misprint on the replay certificates, indicating that they would expire at the end of May.  That is not the case.  The replays are good thru the end of the calendar year (12/31/18).Call the club to set up your replay.See More

Country Club of Salisbury Hickory Outing at Country Club of Salisbury - Salisbury, NC

May 12, 2018 from 2pm to 7pm
We will make our very first hickory outing at the Country Club of Salisbury, in Salisbury, NC on SATURDAY May 12th. This is an extremely good 'get' for us as the club is very private, and we are in the high season for golf in the 'olinas. Please note that we will play on SATURDAY, and we will go off at 2pm. I would expect that this timing may negatively impact some, but positively impact others.A bit of history:The Country Club of Salisbury started out as a gathering for folks in a near by…See More

Carolina Trace Results

A beautiful spring day welcomed 28 Hickory Golfers to Carolina Trace, Lakes Course.  This development in Sanford is extraordinarily beautiful as you pass thru the gates surrounded by the lake.  Combine the lake views with azaleas, dogwoods, and all other spring plants - it's a special place this time of year. The RTJ, Jr course is difficult, with many uphill holes and perched green complexes, making scoring and getting close to the pins a challenge.  Our host Barry Markowitz did his best in…See More

Hello all and thank you for accepting me into this organization. I have just recently discovered and acquired some hickory golf clubs and have found a new spark for the game of golf with these. Looking for any information and direction as I am in the midst of putting together my first set. Any information and help would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to hopefully be involved in future events and getting to know some of you.

Equipment Help

Hello, I just joined the group last night and am looking forward to playing. I love the tradition and history of the game. Does anyone know of a good source of hickory clubs other than the bay? Swap meets etc.. possibly in NC?

Thanks

Evan Mickle

I am overwhelmed by the response to our tragic loss. The outpouring of wishes, food, labor, contributions, etc is beyond comprehension. Thank you all.

An anvil too soon silenced. My son Evan died today. The son any parent would wish for, the husband and father too good to be true, the dedicated farrier all horses dream of, went out to work around his new farm and for no apparent reason just died.

To lose a parent is to lose touch with…

Roaring Gap a Hit Again

Jay Harris once again hosted a wonderful Hickory event at Roaring Gap CC. The course is a treat to pay using hickories and the greens are terrific. Weather was perfect for the 24 players and this is something you should not miss next September. Thanks to Jay for all his efforts.
